Audio-Visual Capabilities

Gary Muellerleile and Marty Bussman

The state-of-the-art audio-visual capabilities at the McNamara Alumni Center consistently impress our clients and guests:

  • Most of our meeting rooms have built-in podiums, microphones, projectors and screens included in the room rental.

  • Wireless Internet access is available at no charge throughout the conference center. An Internet kiosk is available for guests near the reception desk.

  • The built-in projector and screen in Memorial Hall is like none other in the Twin Cities; The new 18,000 lumen projector accommodates wide screen formats. Its output is brilliant even when the room is sun-filled. With a push of a button, a 8X18' screen emerges out from the wall, visible to all. AV operation is conveniently available from both the podium and the back of the room at a custom-made console.

  • Our AV technicians are here on-site, at the University, and have designed and installed most of the AV in our meeting rooms. With more than 55 years of AV experience between them, Marty Bussman and Gary Muellerlielle provide superior customer service and expertise.

  • The Johnson Great Room
is our premier meeting room with built-in projector and 8X18 screen and acoustical ceiling treatment.

  • The Alumni Center owns most standard AV equipment and conference furniture: Tabletop microphones, hand-held microphones, microphone stands, conference phone, portable whiteboard, 6'X8' stage platforms with skirting, flipchart with markers, 10 handsome wooden easels.

  • A portable video conferencing unit is available to rent to allow remote participation at meetings. Two 40" flat screens and camera allow for two-way audio and visual presentations. The rental cost is $250 per hour and $125 for each additional hour.
